Phú Yên in August
Great time to visit
August matches July's intensity but adds cultural depth with Wandering Souls Day observances. Only for heat lovers, but the cultural immersion and bargain prices make it worthwhile for some.
Weather
August continues the hot and humid pattern with temperatures staying brutal and humidity maxing out around 90%. Daily thunderstorms provide temporary relief but add to the mugginess. Early mornings offer the only comfortable outdoor time.

All Months
March through August gives you the best weather, with temperatures hovering around 28-32°C and minimal rain. But here's the insider tip - April and May are perfect. The beaches are empty, accommodation prices haven't peaked, and the sea is calm enough for swimming. Avoid September through November unless you enjoy dramatic storms and flooding. December through February can be surprisingly cool and windy - not ideal for beach lounging but great for exploring inland attractions like the Da Rang grape valley. The rainy season from September to December brings spectacular waterfalls but also makes coastal roads dangerous. If you're planning to visit the famous Ghenh Da Dia rock formations, low tide in the early morning gives you the best access and photos.
