Revello in March
Good time to visit
March teases you with glimpses of spring between rainy spells. Not quite comfortable yet, but you can sense the town shaking off winter's grip as cafe terraces start to reopen.
Weather
March marks the slow awakening from winter as temperatures creep upward and daylight stretches longer. Rain comes in quick downpours rather than steady drizzle, and the first wildflowers appear in the surrounding hills. Mornings still require a jacket.

All Months
October through November is truffle season, when the town comes alive with hunters and their dogs working the oak forests at dawn. Restaurants serve special menus, and the annual truffle fair in late October draws food lovers from across northern Italy. Hotels book up fast, so reserve early.
April and May bring mild weather and fewer crowds. The abbey gardens bloom, hiking trails in the surrounding hills dry out, and restaurant terraces reopen. Daily highs reach 18-22°C, perfect for walking the medieval streets.
Summer gets warm — July averages 28°C — but the stone buildings stay cool, and evening breezes from the Alps make outdoor dining comfortable. This is when locals take their holidays, so some restaurants close for two weeks in August.
Winter can be harsh, with snow possible from December through February. Many restaurants reduce their hours, but the few that stay open serve hearty stews and aged wines by the fireplace. Hotel rates drop to their lowest.
