Sarajevo in November
Good time to visit
November is Sarajevo's least appealing month - grey skies, constant drizzle, and the energy of summer feels like a distant memory. Unless you love moody weather and empty streets, skip it.
Weather
November turns grey and stays that way with frequent drizzle and overcast skies. Temperatures hover around 10°C during the day, dropping near freezing at night. The first snow usually appears in the surrounding mountains by month's end.

All Months
April through October gives you the best weather, but each season tells a different story. Spring (April-May) brings mild temperatures and fewer crowds — perfect for wandering the old town without bumping into tour groups.
Summer (June-August) is peak season for good reason. Long days, warm evenings, and every outdoor cafe in full swing. But expect crowds at the major sites and book accommodations early.
September might be the sweet spot. The summer heat breaks, locals return from vacation, and you get that back-to-school energy without the tourist chaos. Plus, the surrounding mountains start their fall color show.
Winter has its own charm if you don't mind the cold. Snow transforms Sarajevo into something from a fairy tale, and you'll have the city mostly to yourself. Just know that some mountain day trips become impossible, and heating in budget accommodations can be hit-or-miss.
