All Months
March through May gives you perfect weather without the crushing summer humidity. Temperatures sit in the comfortable 70s and 80s, and you can actually walk around midday without melting. Spring also brings fewer crowds than peak summer season.
Fall (October through December) might be even better. The weather stays warm enough for outdoor exploring, but the summer tourist hordes have gone home. Plus, the city goes all-out for Halloween — and in a place this haunted, October feels especially atmospheric.
Summer brings two problems: heat and crowds. July temperatures regularly hit 90°F with humidity that makes it feel like 100°F. And good luck finding a restaurant table on St. George Street without a wait. But if summer is your only option, plan indoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
Winter surprises people. Temperatures rarely drop below 40°F, so you can still walk around comfortably. Just pack layers because mornings can be chilly while afternoons warm up nicely.
