February offers some of the year's most comfortable weather with the added bonus of cherry blossom season starting. The combination of cool temperatures and blooming flowers makes it ideal for outdoor exploration.

February continues the dry, cool pattern with slightly warmer afternoons than January. Morning fog sometimes rolls in from the mountains, creating moody scenes around Elephant Mountain. Rain stays light and infrequent, though humidity starts creeping up toward month's end.

October through April gives you Taipei's sweet spot — comfortable temperatures, less humidity, and minimal rain. December and January can get surprisingly chilly (think 50-60°F), but that's perfect weather for hot pot and night market wandering.
Avoid July and August unless you love feeling like you're inside a steam room. Temperatures hit 95°F with 80% humidity, and afternoon thunderstorms are basically guaranteed. Plus, it's typhoon season.
May and June sit on the edge — still pleasant, but humidity starts climbing. September can work if you don't mind some heat and the occasional tropical storm.
Chinese New Year (late January/early February) brings amazing food and decorations, but many restaurants close for 3-4 days. Book accommodations early — prices double and availability vanishes.
The plum blossom season in February turns Yangmingshan National Park into something magical. Cherry blossoms follow in March, though crowds can be intense on weekends.
