Toruń in November
Good time to visit
November tests your tolerance for gray weather and short days. The town feels authentically medieval in the gloom, but you'll need indoor backup plans and serious rain gear.
Weather
November turns gray and dreary with frequent drizzle and dropping temperatures. The medieval streets feel particularly atmospheric but also damp and chilly. Daylight becomes precious as winter approaches fast.

All Months
May through September gives you the best weather and longest days. July temperatures hover around 24°C with plenty of sunshine for wandering the medieval streets and sitting at riverside cafes. But summer also brings tour groups and higher prices.
I prefer late May or early September. The weather stays pleasant, tourist crowds thin out, and you get autumn colors reflecting in the Vistula. Plus, restaurant terraces stay open and you can still enjoy evening walks along the city walls without freezing.
Winter in Toruń feels authentically medieval — snow on Gothic rooftops, warm light spilling from tavern windows, the smell of gingerbread wafting through narrow streets. December temperatures drop to around -2°C, but Christmas markets and fewer tourists create a magical atmosphere. Just pack warm clothes and waterproof boots for the cobblestones.
Avoid March and November if possible. These shoulder months bring unpredictable weather, with rain turning cobblestones slippery and many outdoor attractions closing early.
