All Months
May through September offers the best balance of weather and prices. Temperatures hover in the mid-80s with steady trade winds keeping things comfortable. Hurricane season technically runs June through November, but direct hits remain rare.
July and August bring peak summer heat and higher humidity, but also lower hotel rates and fewer crowds. Many restaurants close for vacation in September, so check ahead if you're planning late summer travel.
Winter months from December to April see perfect weather but peak prices. Hotels book solid during Christmas and New Years, with rates doubling from summer levels. March brings spring breakers, while April offers good weather with slightly better availability.
Humpback whale watching season runs January through April, when thousands migrate through the Turks Island Passage. Salt Cay offers the best viewing, with whales passing within swimming distance of shore.
Hurricane season shouldn't scare you away completely. Most storms pass north of the islands, and modern forecasting provides plenty of warning. Just buy travel insurance and stay flexible with dates.
