Yerevan in March
Good time to visit
March is Yerevan's awkward transition month with unpredictable weather that keeps most tourists away. It's cheaper than peak season but you'll deal with muddy streets and temperamental skies.
Weather
March brings the first hints of spring with temperatures creeping above freezing during the day. Snow becomes rain, creating muddy conditions throughout the city. The weather is unpredictable - one day might feel almost warm while the next brings a surprise snowfall.

- •Check attraction hours as many extend their schedules starting mid-March
All Months
May through October gives you the best weather, but each season tells a different story. May and June mean mild temperatures (65-75°F) and everything's green from spring rains. July and August get hot - think 85-95°F - but the evenings cool down perfectly for outdoor dining.
September and October are golden. Literally. The city's trees turn yellow and orange, temperatures drop to comfortable 70s, and grape harvest season means fresh wine everywhere. October can be rainy, but it's the kind of light drizzle that makes the pink stone buildings look even pinker.
Winter gets cold (20-40°F) and gray, but hotel prices drop by half. Plus, you'll have attractions to yourself, and the Christmas markets around Republic Square in December create a cozy atmosphere. Just pack layers - Armenian buildings aren't always well-heated.
