Agra in August
Not the best time
Peak monsoon means frequent disruptions and steamy conditions. Independence Day celebrations add some excitement, but weather remains the main story.
Weather
August continues heavy monsoon rains with temperatures around 33°C and high humidity making it feel much hotter. Expect daily thunderstorms and occasional flooding in low-lying areas. The air stays muggy throughout.

All Months
October through March is when Agra shows its best face. Temperatures hover around 15-25°C, perfect for monument hopping without melting. December and January mornings can be foggy, which creates moody photos but might delay your sunrise Taj plans. February is ideal - clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and the gardens around the Taj are in bloom. Avoid April through September unless you enjoy 45°C heat and monsoon downpours. The summer months see fewer crowds, but you'll understand why when you're sweating through your shirt by 9 AM. If you must visit in summer, plan all outdoor activities before 10 AM and after 5 PM. Winter evenings require a light jacket, especially if you're doing sunset photography at Mehtab Bagh.
