Agra in September
Not the best time
Transitional month with improving but still challenging conditions. Festival celebrations provide cultural interest, but weather remains hot and humid.
Weather
September sees monsoon starting to retreat with temperatures at 34°C and humidity still oppressive. Rain becomes less predictable but can still arrive as sudden heavy showers. The air starts clearing toward month's end.

All Months
October through March is when Agra shows its best face. Temperatures hover around 15-25°C, perfect for monument hopping without melting. December and January mornings can be foggy, which creates moody photos but might delay your sunrise Taj plans. February is ideal - clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and the gardens around the Taj are in bloom. Avoid April through September unless you enjoy 45°C heat and monsoon downpours. The summer months see fewer crowds, but you'll understand why when you're sweating through your shirt by 9 AM. If you must visit in summer, plan all outdoor activities before 10 AM and after 5 PM. Winter evenings require a light jacket, especially if you're doing sunset photography at Mehtab Bagh.
