Great time to visit
March hits the sweet spot between winter crowds and spring prices. The weather cooperates most days, making it perfect for exploring both city and desert without sweating through your clothes.

All Months
March through May offers Amman at its best. Temperatures hover around 20-25°C, perfect for walking between ruins and cafes. The city's limestone buildings look spectacular in spring light, and you can actually enjoy outdoor dining.
September through November provides another sweet spot. The brutal summer heat breaks, but you still get warm days and cool evenings. Hotel prices drop from summer peaks, and locals return from beach vacations, bringing energy back to neighborhoods.
Winter (December-February) brings rain and temperatures around 10-15°C. Not freezing, but you'll need layers. Some rooftop restaurants close, but this is when locals hunker down in cozy indoor spaces. Hotel rates hit their lowest.
Avoid June through August unless you love heat. Temperatures regularly hit 35-40°C, and the city feels drained of life during midday hours. Everyone retreats indoors between noon and 4 PM. If you must visit in summer, plan indoor activities during peak heat hours.
