All Months
November through April delivers perfect weather - sunny days, calm seas, and minimal rainfall. December and January see the most crowds and highest prices, but also the most reliable conditions. The water temperature stays around 28°C (82°F) year-round, so you're always comfortable swimming. February through April offers the sweet spot: great weather with fewer tourists and better hotel rates. May marks the beginning of monsoon season, when most water activities shut down and many resorts close. The islands essentially go into hibernation from May to September. October can be tricky - officially post-monsoon, but storms still pop up. If you're planning around specific activities, time it right. Turtle nesting season runs December to February at Kalipur Beach on Diglipur Island. Coral spawning happens in March and April, creating incredible underwater visibility. But here's the thing about weather in the tropics: it changes fast. Even in peak season, afternoon thunderstorms can roll in. Pack a light rain jacket and flexible plans.
