Summer is festival season — June through August brings Fringe Theatre Festival, Folk Music Festival, and Heritage Festival. Temperatures hit 25°C and the sun barely sets. Book accommodation early during festival weeks. September offers perfect weather without the crowds, plus fall colors in the river valley. Winter lasts from November through March with temperatures dropping to -20°C. But the snow transforms the city into something magical, and you'll have attractions to yourself.
