December and January bring crowds but also the best weather - highs around 82°F with cool evenings. February through April get hotter but fewer tourists mean cheaper hotel rates. But wet season has its perks - the jungle explodes green, cenotes fill with crystal water, and hotel prices drop 40%. Avoid Easter week when Guatemalan families pack the town.
