All Months
Spring and fall own Isfahan's weather game. March through May brings perfect temperatures in the 20s Celsius, plus you'll catch the city's gardens in full bloom. The roses in the Chehel Sotoun gardens look incredible in April. Fall runs September through November with similar temps and crystal-clear skies that make those mosque tiles pop even more. Summer gets brutal — we're talking 40+ degrees Celsius in July and August when even locals hide indoors during midday. But if you can handle the heat, summer means fewer crowds and better hotel deals. Winter brings cool days perfect for walking, though nights can drop near freezing. The big downside? The Zayandeh River often runs dry in summer and winter due to upstream damming, so those famous bridge photos might show more dust than water. Plan around Persian New Year (Nowruz) in March unless you enjoy massive crowds and inflated prices.
