All Months
March through May is peak season — mild temperatures, blooming azaleas, and perfect weather for walking tours of civil rights sites. October and November bring crisp mornings and comfortable afternoons ideal for outdoor festivals. Summer is brutal. We're talking 95-degree days with humidity that feels like a wet blanket. But summer also means cheaper hotels and fewer crowds at museums. Winter rarely sees snow, but January and February can be gray and dreary. The sweet spot? Late March when the Mal's St. Paddy's Parade takes over downtown, or October during the Mississippi Book Festival. Spring brings tornado season though — keep an eye on weather alerts if you're visiting April or May.
