But summer also means cheaper hotels and fewer crowds at museums. Winter rarely sees snow, but January and February can be gray and dreary. The sweet spot? Late March when the Mal's St. Paddy's Parade takes over downtown, or October during the Mississippi Book Festival. Spring brings tornado season though — keep an eye on weather alerts if you're visiting April or May.
