November through April is your sweet spot — dry skies, calm seas, and temperatures that hover around 30°C. December and January are peak season, which means higher prices but also the best weather for boat trips. The monsoon hits hard from May to October, and I mean hard. Boats to Maya Bay get cancelled, some restaurants close, and accommodation drops to half price for good reason. But here's a contrarian take: late October can be brilliant if you time it right between storm systems. You'll have the islands mostly to yourself. Just check the weather forecast obsessively and have backup plans.
