Larnaca in August
Not the best time
August is the most intense month - scorching heat, maximum crowds, and peak prices. Only recommended for dedicated beach enthusiasts and heat lovers.
Weather
August matches July for heat and humidity, often feeling even more oppressive due to the accumulated heat. The sea reaches its warmest at 27°C, but stepping away from air conditioning becomes genuinely uncomfortable midday.

All Months
April through June gives you perfect weather without the crushing summer heat. Temperatures hit 25°C, the sea warms up, and hotel prices stay reasonable. Plus, wildflowers bloom around the salt lake.
September and October are equally sweet. The sea stays warm from summer heating, crowds thin out, and you can actually walk around midday without melting. Restaurant terraces reopen after the summer hibernation.
July and August bring 35°C+ heat that makes sightseeing miserable. Locals disappear indoors between noon and 5 PM. Beach clubs jack up prices and everywhere feels crowded. Only come in summer if you're purely here to bake on the beach.
Winter is mild but many restaurants and attractions close. December through February sees occasional rain and temperatures around 15°C. Fine for budget travelers who don't mind limited options, but you'll miss the full Larnaca experience.
