Larnaca in February

Good time to visit

February offers the charm of carnival season without the summer heat. It's still quiet tourism-wise, making it ideal for cultural exploration and local experiences.

Weather

February continues the mild winter pattern with slightly fewer rainy days than January. Temperatures creep up just a bit, and you'll notice the days getting longer. The occasional storm rolls through, but they're usually brief.

February Tips

  • Carnival season brings colorful parades - check the exact dates as they change yearly
  • Beach clubs start planning their reopening, so call ahead before visiting
  • Perfect month for exploring Larnaca's museums and indoor attractions

All Months

April through June gives you perfect weather without the crushing summer heat. Temperatures hit 25°C, the sea warms up, and hotel prices stay reasonable. Plus, wildflowers bloom around the salt lake. September and October are equally sweet. The sea stays warm from summer heating, crowds thin out, and you can actually walk around midday without melting. Restaurant terraces reopen after the summer hibernation. July and August bring 35°C+ heat that makes sightseeing miserable. Locals disappear indoors between noon and 5 PM. Beach clubs jack up prices and everywhere feels crowded. Only come in summer if you're purely here to bake on the beach. Winter is mild but many restaurants and attractions close. December through February sees occasional rain and temperatures around 15°C. Fine for budget travelers who don't mind limited options, but you'll miss the full Larnaca experience.
