All Months
April through June gives you perfect weather without the summer crowds. Temperatures hover around 22-26°C, the sea's warming up, and hotel prices haven't hit peak season yet. Easter week (Semana Santa) brings incredible processions but also higher prices and packed streets.
September and October offer the year's best combination of warm weather, calm seas, and reasonable crowds. The Mediterranean stays swimmable through October, and you'll get better restaurant service without the August rush.
Summer means 35°C days and packed beaches. July and August see temperatures that make sightseeing brutal between noon and 5pm. But the nightlife compensates – terraces stay open until 3am and the whole city moves to beach bars after sunset.
Winter brings mild 16-18°C days perfect for museum hopping and walking tours. Rain comes in short bursts, usually clearing by afternoon. Hotels drop to half their summer rates, but many beach restaurants close until March.
