Montego Bay in February
Great time to visit
The crown jewel of Montego Bay weather, but you'll pay premium prices for paradise. Crowds pack Hip Strip and Doctor's Cave Beach, but the weather rarely disappoints.
Weather
February continues the dry season bliss with arguably the best weather of the year. Rain is rare, humidity stays manageable, and those northeast trade winds provide natural air conditioning. Expect wall-to-wall sunshine.

- •Consider staying in Negril for fewer crowds while keeping day trip access to MoBay
All Months
December through April offers perfect weather — temperatures hover around 80°F with minimal rain. But this is peak season, so expect crowds at Doctor's Cave Beach and higher prices everywhere. January and February are the sweet spot — post-holiday calm but still dry and sunny. March brings spring breakers, which means party atmosphere but also noise and crowds. The rainy season runs May through November, but don't write it off completely. Showers usually hit in the afternoon for an hour or two, then clear up. You'll get better hotel deals and fewer crowds. Hurricane season peaks August through October — most storms miss Jamaica, but flight cancellations happen. November can be beautiful with lower humidity and occasional rain. Christmas week is chaos — book everything months ahead and expect to pay double for accommodations.
