Naples in January
Good time to visit
January gives you Naples without the crowds and with serious discounts. The weather's unpredictable but manageable, and you'll have the city's treasures mostly to yourself.
Weather
January brings crisp, cool air with temperatures hovering around 15°C during the day. Rain comes in quick bursts rather than all-day downpours, and you'll get plenty of sunny breaks between showers. The Mediterranean stays too cold for swimming, but the light is gorgeous for photography.

- •Museum lines are short and hotels offer winter discounts
All Months
April through June brings perfect weather without summer crowds. Temperatures hit 20-25°C, and you can actually walk around comfortably. Easter processions add drama to the already theatrical streets.
September and October offer similar conditions with the bonus of harvest season. Local restaurants showcase fresh ingredients, and the summer tourists have mostly fled.
Summer gets brutally hot and crowded. July and August see temperatures pushing 35°C with humidity that makes exploring exhausting. But the evening passeggiata along the waterfront becomes magical, and late dinners under the stars make up for sweaty afternoons.
Winter stays mild but unpredictable. December through February brings rain and occasional cold snaps, but also fewer tourists and cozy trattorias with hearty soups. Christmas markets in Spaccanapoli create festive atmosphere.
