Novi Sad in July
Great time to visit
July is Novi Sad at its most intense - blazing hot days, epic thunderstorms, and EXIT Festival bringing global energy to Petrovaradin Fortress. It's peak season for good reason, but prepare for crowds and heat.
Weather
July brings peak summer heat with temperatures often hitting 30°C+ and high humidity. Afternoon thunderstorms are dramatic but brief - about 6-7 wet days. The Danube provides blessed relief for evening breezes.

July Tips
- •EXIT Festival transforms the city - book accommodation 6 months ahead
- •Seek shade during midday heat - Dunavski Park becomes essential
- •Evening dining is the move - restaurants stay open late
All Months
July means EXIT Festival, which transforms the city but also triples accommodation prices. If you're not here for the music, skip this month unless you book way ahead and don't mind crowds.
May through September gives you the best weather and outdoor life. The Danube beaches open up, street festivals happen regularly, and you can actually enjoy walking around. August gets hot - we're talking 35°C+ some days - but the river keeps things bearable.
Shoulder seasons work well too. September still has warm days but fewer tourists. May can be rainy, but when it's nice, the city feels perfect. Winter gets cold and gray, though the Christmas market in Trg Slobode has its charm if you don't mind bundling up.
