Pattaya in September
Not the best time
Still deep in monsoon season with challenging conditions for tourists. Ultra-low prices reflect the reality that you'll spend most time indoors avoiding the frequent storms and flooding.
Weather
September maintains the monsoon's grip with frequent heavy downpours and suffocating humidity. Storms can be intense and flooding remains a daily concern. The silver lining: rain sometimes provides brief temperature relief.

September Tips
- •Taxi apps become essential as walking is often impossible
- •Many outdoor attractions operate reduced hours or close entirely
- •Hotel breakfast becomes more important when you can't easily reach restaurants
All Months
November through March gives you Pattaya at its best. Temperatures hover around 27-30°C with minimal rain and lower humidity. December and January are peak season — book accommodation early and expect higher prices.
April brings Songkran (Thai New Year) and the city goes absolutely wild. Water fights consume the streets for three days straight. It's chaotic fun but not ideal for beach relaxation. Hotels jack up rates during this period.
May through October is rainy season, but don't let that scare you. Rain typically comes in afternoon bursts, leaving mornings and evenings clear. You'll find better hotel deals and fewer crowds. Just pack a light rain jacket.
Avoid Chinese New Year (January/February) if you prefer quieter beaches. Chinese tour groups flood the city, and popular restaurants often have long waits.
