Poconos in February
Not the best time
February is for die-hard winter lovers and skiers. The snow is deep, the air is crisp, but the cold can be punishing for anyone not prepared.
Weather
February stays frigid with heavy snowfall and icy conditions dominating the month. The cold is relentless - expect sub-zero nights and daytime temps that barely reach the twenties. Snow accumulation can reach several feet in higher elevations.

February Tips
- •This is peak ski season - book accommodations months ahead
- •Stock up on supplies before storms hit as roads can become impassable
- •Many restaurants and attractions have reduced winter hours
All Months
October is peak season for good reason. The fall colors hit their stride around Columbus Day weekend, and every hotel jacks up rates accordingly. Book three months ahead or you're looking at $400+ per night for basic rooms. Summer brings the lake crowd and family vacation rush — July and August see the warmest weather but also the biggest crowds at water parks and beaches. June offers the sweet spot: warm days, cool nights, and lower prices than peak summer. September delivers perfect hiking weather with fewer tourists clogging the trails. Winter works if you ski, but many outdoor attractions shut down November through March. Spring arrives late here — don't count on warm weather until May, and even then, pack layers for those mountain temperature swings.
