Poconos in November

Good time to visit

November marks the end of tourist season with bare trees and cooling temperatures. It's peaceful and affordable, but you'll trade crowds for limited activities and gray skies.

Weather

November brings cool days and cold nights with the last of fall colors fading by mid-month. Light snow is possible late in the month, and gray, overcast days become more common. Nights can drop well below freezing.

November Tips

  • Great time for lower prices as tourist season ends
  • Pack warm clothes - it gets cold quickly after dark
  • Many seasonal attractions close after Halloween

All Months

October is peak season for good reason. The fall colors hit their stride around Columbus Day weekend, and every hotel jacks up rates accordingly. Book three months ahead or you're looking at $400+ per night for basic rooms. Summer brings the lake crowd and family vacation rush — July and August see the warmest weather but also the biggest crowds at water parks and beaches. June offers the sweet spot: warm days, cool nights, and lower prices than peak summer. September delivers perfect hiking weather with fewer tourists clogging the trails. Winter works if you ski, but many outdoor attractions shut down November through March. Spring arrives late here — don't count on warm weather until May, and even then, pack layers for those mountain temperature swings.
