Pokhara in September
Not the best time
September marks the gradual end of monsoon but conditions remain unpredictable with frequent rain. Patient visitors might catch improving weather by month's end, but it's still not ideal for most activities.
Weather
September sees monsoon slowly retreating but rain remains frequent and heavy. Temperatures stay warm with high humidity levels persisting. By late September, clearer days start appearing more regularly, offering hope for mountain views.

- •Trekking trails remain muddy and potentially dangerous
- •This is when hotel prices start creeping up from rock bottom
All Months
October through April gives you clear skies and visible mountains — crucial when the peaks are the main attraction. October and November are peak season, meaning crowds and higher prices, but also perfect weather for trekking.
December through February brings crisp mornings and warm afternoons. You'll need layers for early morning mountain views, but by noon you're back in t-shirts. This is shoulder season, so better deals on accommodation.
March and April warm up nicely, with rhododendrons blooming in the hills. The air gets hazier as summer approaches, but mountains stay visible most days.
Avoid May through September unless you love monsoon rain and cloud-covered peaks. The mountains disappear behind clouds for weeks at a time, and trekking becomes muddy misery.
