Pushkar in June
Not the best time
The worst time to visit Pushkar. Extreme heat makes exploration painful, and even cheap prices can't compensate for the discomfort.
Weather
June continues the extreme heat with temperatures that make you question life choices. Pre-monsoon humidity starts building, making the heat feel even more oppressive. Occasional dust storms add to the misery.

June Tips
- •Seriously consider visiting another time of year
- •If you must come, stay indoors 11am-6pm
- •Rock-bottom accommodation prices won't matter if you're miserable
All Months
October to March is your window — desert heat becomes bearable and you can actually walk around during the day. December and January are perfect, with sunny days around 25°C and cool nights perfect for rooftop dinners. November brings the famous Pushkar Camel Fair, when the population triples and hotel prices quadruple. Book months ahead if you want to experience the chaos. April onwards gets brutally hot — we're talking 45°C in May and June. Monsoon season (July-September) is unpredictable. Some years bring relief, others just humidity without rain. The town looks beautiful after rare desert showers, but don't bank on it. Winter mornings can be surprisingly cold, pack layers.
