Pushkar in September
Not the best time
Transitional month as monsoon retreats. Still humid and occasionally wet, but you can sense better weather approaching.
Weather
September sees monsoon rains tapering off but humidity remains high. Post-rain freshness makes the air cleaner, though temperatures start climbing again as the wet season ends. Occasional showers still surprise you.

- •Roads and paths can still be muddy from recent rains
All Months
October to March is your window — desert heat becomes bearable and you can actually walk around during the day. December and January are perfect, with sunny days around 25°C and cool nights perfect for rooftop dinners. November brings the famous Pushkar Camel Fair, when the population triples and hotel prices quadruple. Book months ahead if you want to experience the chaos. April onwards gets brutally hot — we're talking 45°C in May and June. Monsoon season (July-September) is unpredictable. Some years bring relief, others just humidity without rain. The town looks beautiful after rare desert showers, but don't bank on it. Winter mornings can be surprisingly cold, pack layers.
