All Months
April through June is sweet spot territory. The weather's mild, flowers are blooming in the botanical gardens, and you can walk around without melting. May hits particularly well — warm days, cool nights, and everything's green. September and October work too. You'll catch the grape harvest season, which means wine festivals and perfect temperatures for exploring. Summer gets brutal. July and August see temperatures pushing 35°C (95°F) with humidity that'll have you seeking shelter by noon. But here's the upside — this is when the outdoor bars and rooftop terraces really come alive. Winter isn't off-limits, just different. December through February brings occasional snow and temperatures around freezing. The sulfur baths feel even better when it's cold outside, and you'll have tourist sites mostly to yourself. Plus, winter is when locals really embrace the supra (feast) culture.
