Évora in October
Great time to visit
October ranks with April and May as one of Évora's best months. The weather cooperates completely, crowds thin out from summer peaks, and the surrounding wine country is at its most beautiful.
Weather
October offers some of the year's most pleasant weather with warm days and cool nights. Rain returns in gentle amounts - enough to settle dust but not disrupt plans. The famous Alentejo light becomes even more golden.

All Months
April through June gives you perfect weather and wildflowers covering the plains. Temperatures sit in the comfortable 20s, and you can walk all day without melting. September and October work just as well, with harvest season adding energy to the countryside.
July and August turn Évora into an oven. Temperatures regularly hit 40°C, and those cobblestones become foot-burning surfaces by noon. If you must visit in summer, start early and take long afternoon breaks.
Winter brings rain and surprisingly cold nights, but also solitude. The Roman Temple looks dramatic under grey skies, and restaurant fireplaces actually get used. Just pack layers — Alentejo winters are drier than the coast but still chilly.
