Hacienda de San Antonio in July
Not the best time
The most challenging month weather-wise. Rock-bottom prices reflect the reality that most people avoid visiting now for good reason.
Weather
July is peak rainy season with intense heat and daily thunderstorms. Mornings start hot and humid, then afternoon storms roll in like clockwork. The rain is heavy but usually brief.

All Months
November through April offers perfect weather — warm days around 75°F and cool evenings that make you want to linger over dinner. December and January bring the most crowds, especially around holidays when wealthy Mexico City families book the place solid.
March hits the sweet spot. Fewer crowds, perfect temperatures, and the jacaranda trees bloom purple across the property. The rainy season (May through October) isn't necessarily bad — afternoon thunderstorms clear quickly, and the gardens explode with color. But some outdoor activities get cancelled, and the humidity makes the colonial stone buildings feel stuffy.
Book at least three months ahead for winter visits. Summer reservations open up more easily, but you'll deal with 90°F days and afternoon downpours that can last hours.
