Hormuz Island in June
Not the best time
June's extreme heat makes Hormuz nearly unbearable for most travelers. Unless you're specifically adapted to desert climates, save your money and visit during cooler months.
Weather
June unleashes brutal heat with daytime temperatures hitting 42°C and nights offering little relief at 32°C. The Persian Gulf turns into a humid furnace, making even early morning walks uncomfortable. No rain provides any cooling relief.

June Tips
- •Avoid midday outdoor activities completely
- •Stay hydrated constantly - heat exhaustion is a real risk
- •Many local businesses reduce hours or close during peak heat
All Months
November through March offers the sweet spot. Temperatures hover around 20-25°C during the day, perfect for hiking around the colored mountains. The humidity drops too, making everything more comfortable.
December and January are peak season for Iranian tourists escaping Tehran's winter. Book accommodations early and expect higher prices. But the weather's ideal — sunny days, cool nights, minimal rain.
April gets tricky. Still pleasant in the mornings, but afternoon temperatures start climbing toward 30°C. May through October is brutal — temperatures hit 40°C with crushing humidity. The colored rocks become too hot to touch.
Winter storms can cancel ferries, so have flexible travel dates. Check weather forecasts before heading to Bandar Abbas because getting stuck on the mainland isn't fun.
