- •Air-conditioned accommodation becomes essential
- •Consider this month only if you handle extreme heat well
All Months
November through March offers the sweet spot. Temperatures hover around 20-25°C during the day, perfect for hiking around the colored mountains. The humidity drops too, making everything more comfortable.
December and January are peak season for Iranian tourists escaping Tehran's winter. Book accommodations early and expect higher prices. But the weather's ideal — sunny days, cool nights, minimal rain.
April gets tricky. Still pleasant in the mornings, but afternoon temperatures start climbing toward 30°C. May through October is brutal — temperatures hit 40°C with crushing humidity. The colored rocks become too hot to touch.
Winter storms can cancel ferries, so have flexible travel dates. Check weather forecasts before heading to Bandar Abbas because getting stuck on the mainland isn't fun.
