September through November works equally well – the ocean reaches its warmest at 24°C and you'll have beaches mostly to yourself. Avoid July and August when Spanish families arrive en masse and temperatures can hit 35°C. The volcanic rocks amplify heat, making hiking uncomfortable during midday. December through February brings cooler weather around 18°C, but also the strongest winds and occasional rain. Perfect for surfers at Famara Beach, less ideal for beach lounging.
