Libreville in October
Not the best time
October is manageable but you can feel the rainy season approaching. Some good weather mixed with increasing storms and humidity. Decent shoulder season pricing before the bottom falls out.
Weather
October marks the transition back to rainy season with increasing humidity around 75-80%. Afternoon storms return, though they're less intense than the March-April period. Expect around 200mm of rainfall as clouds build more frequently.

All Months
June through September gives you the dry season sweet spot. Temperatures hover around 26°C, humidity drops to almost bearable levels, and you can actually see wildlife in the national parks without getting drenched. This is when Akanda's elephants come closer to the coast and the beaches aren't constantly pounded by rain. October through May brings the wet season, which sounds dramatic but really just means afternoon thunderstorms and higher humidity. The upside? Everything turns impossibly green and hotel rates drop. December and January see some French expats returning for holidays, so book ahead if you're planning a Christmas visit.
