Great time to visit
September teases the end of summer hell but doesn't deliver. Still brutally hot, though prices stay low and crowds thin.
Weather
September offers the first hint that summer might eventually end, but don't get excited yet. Temperatures remain scorching hot during the day with only marginal improvement. Humidity stays high, making any outdoor activity still miserable.

All Months
June through November offers the best balance of weather and wildlife viewing. The dry season means lower river levels, exposing beaches and making it easier to spot caimans and birds. Temperatures hover around 30°C (86°F) with less humidity than the wet months.
September and October are prime time. River levels drop to their lowest, creating temporary islands perfect for camping. Pink dolphins gather in larger groups as fish concentrate in smaller pools. The weather is hot but not oppressive.
Avoid December through April unless you love rain and mosquitoes. The wet season brings daily downpours and flooding that can cut off access to some areas. But if you don't mind the conditions, you'll have the place almost entirely to yourself.
July sees a slight uptick in Brazilian domestic tourists, but Manama never feels crowded. Book accommodation a few days ahead during peak months, otherwise you can usually find a room by just showing up.
