Mũi Né in August

Not the best time

August represents Mũi Né's most challenging month. Constant rain, oppressive humidity, and frequent flooding make this a month best avoided unless you're chasing the absolute cheapest prices.

Weather

Peak wet season delivers daily deluges. Highs reach 32°C while lows stick at 28°C, creating a steam bath effect. Storms can last hours and flooding becomes a real concern.

  • Have multiple backup plans for every day

All Months

November through April is prime time. The weather stays dry, temperatures hover around 26-30°C, and the wind conditions are perfect for kitesurfing. December and January are peak months — expect higher prices and more crowds, especially around Christmas and Tet. But here's what most guides don't tell you: the shoulder months (November and April) actually offer the best value. Hotels drop their rates, the beaches aren't packed, and you still get great weather. May through October brings rain and humidity, plus the wind dies down, making it useless for water sports. The red sand dunes turn muddy, and half the tour operators shut down. If you're coming just for the beaches and don't care about activities, the rainy season means rock-bottom accommodation prices — just pack an umbrella.
