Mũi Né in July

Not the best time

July tests your tolerance for tropical misery. Between the relentless rain and stifling humidity, even the rock-bottom prices can't make this month appealing for most visitors.

Weather

Wet season hits stride with frequent heavy downpours. Temperatures slightly moderate to 32°C highs but 28°C lows keep nights uncomfortably warm. Humidity peaks at crushing levels.

July Tips

  • Indoor activities become essential backup plans
  • Waterproof everything important
  • Many beach restaurants close during heavy rain periods

All Months

November through April is prime time. The weather stays dry, temperatures hover around 26-30°C, and the wind conditions are perfect for kitesurfing. December and January are peak months — expect higher prices and more crowds, especially around Christmas and Tet. But here's what most guides don't tell you: the shoulder months (November and April) actually offer the best value. Hotels drop their rates, the beaches aren't packed, and you still get great weather. May through October brings rain and humidity, plus the wind dies down, making it useless for water sports. The red sand dunes turn muddy, and half the tour operators shut down. If you're coming just for the beaches and don't care about activities, the rainy season means rock-bottom accommodation prices — just pack an umbrella.
