Paro in July
Not the best time
July is Paro's wettest and most challenging month for tourists. While prices drop significantly, the constant rain and poor visibility make it difficult to enjoy the valley's main attractions.
Weather
July brings the height of monsoon season to Paro, with heavy, sustained rainfall and persistently cloudy skies. Humidity reaches uncomfortable levels, and the valley often sits shrouded in mist and low-hanging clouds. Roads can become muddy and occasionally impassable.

July Tips

- •Many outdoor activities are weather-dependent and may be cancelled
- •Book accommodations with good indoor common areas
All Months
March through May brings rhododendrons blooming across the mountainsides and clear views of the Himalayas. Temperatures hit a comfortable 70°F during the day, though nights can drop to 40°F. This is peak season, so expect crowds at Tiger's Nest and higher accommodation prices. September through November offers the clearest mountain views and stable weather — perfect for hiking and photography. The monsoon runs June through August, bringing heavy rains that can wash out roads and obscure mountain views. But the valleys turn emerald green, and you'll have major sites mostly to yourself. Winter (December through February) sees snow at higher elevations and freezing temperatures, but also brilliant blue skies and empty trails. Just pack serious cold-weather gear.
