Saint-Tropez in April

Good time to visit

April feels like Saint-Tropez waking up from winter sleep. The energy starts building, restaurants dust off their best tables, and you get a preview of summer magic without the crushing crowds.

Weather

April brings properly warm days that make outdoor dining and walking around town genuinely pleasant. The Mediterranean stays too cool for most swimmers, but beach walks become irresistible. Occasional spring showers keep the landscape green.

April Tips

  • Pack both shorts and long pants as temperatures can swing dramatically
  • Yacht charter prices begin climbing as the season approaches

All Months

May through September is Saint-Tropez season, but each month has its own personality. May is lovely — warm enough for the beach but without the crowds. The town feels almost normal. June brings the film festivals and yacht shows. July and August are peak madness. Expect crowds, traffic, and prices that'll make your eyes water. But the energy is infectious and this is when Saint-Tropez truly comes alive. September is the sweet spot — still warm, fewer crowds, and locals start to emerge from hiding. The sea is at its warmest too. October can be beautiful but many restaurants and clubs close after the first week. Winter is dead quiet — most places shut down completely. If you're coming in peak season, book everything in advance. And I mean everything — restaurant reservations, beach club spots, even taxi transfers.
