Everyone talks about khareef season (June to September) when the monsoons arrive. And yes, it's magical — the mountains turn green, waterfalls appear, and temperatures drop to 25°C while the rest of the Gulf melts. But here's the thing: it's also crowded and misty, which means fewer clear beach days. November through March gives you perfect weather, empty beaches, and clear mountain views. April and May are hot but manageable, and you'll have the place mostly to yourself. The frankincense harvest happens in spring, so you can see the actual tree-tapping process. December and January are ideal if you want to combine beach time with mountain hiking.
