Salalah in October
Not the best time
Post-monsoon heat bomb with high temperatures and humidity creating miserable conditions. Rock-bottom prices can't compensate for genuinely unpleasant weather.
Weather
October brings the post-khareef heat surge as temperatures spike back into the mid-30s with lingering high humidity. The combination creates oppressive conditions worse than pre-monsoon months. The green begins fading to brown.

October Tips
- •Avoid this month if possible - worst weather conditions of the year
- •Indoor activities only during daytime
- •Some of the year's lowest hotel rates if you can handle the heat
All Months
Everyone talks about khareef season (June to September) when the monsoons arrive. And yes, it's magical — the mountains turn green, waterfalls appear, and temperatures drop to 25°C while the rest of the Gulf melts. But here's the thing: it's also crowded and misty, which means fewer clear beach days. November through March gives you perfect weather, empty beaches, and clear mountain views. April and May are hot but manageable, and you'll have the place mostly to yourself. The frankincense harvest happens in spring, so you can see the actual tree-tapping process. December and January are ideal if you want to combine beach time with mountain hiking.
