Good time to visit
September is when Siwa begins its slow climb back from hell. Still too hot for comfort tourism, but you can feel the desert loosening its grip. Patient travelers get rewarded with better prices.
Weather
September offers the first hint that summer might eventually end. Days are still scorching at 39°C but nights finally drop to a more bearable 23°C. You can sense the season starting to shift.

- •Mornings and evenings become pleasant again
- •Hotels start reopening with full services
All Months
October through March offers perfect weather - warm days around 25°C and cool nights that actually require a jacket. December and January see the most visitors, but Siwa never feels crowded.
Avoid summer completely. July temperatures hit 45°C, and the desert becomes genuinely dangerous during midday. Even locals stay indoors from noon to 4 PM.
Ramadan brings a special atmosphere as the entire oasis observes the fast together. But restaurant hours get unpredictable, and some attractions close early. Spring brings wildflowers to the desert after rare rains - a magical sight if you're lucky.
