Vaitape in June

Great time to visit

June brings peak season crowds but for good reason - the weather is absolutely perfect. Expect to pay premium prices but you'll get ideal conditions for every activity Bora Bora offers.

Weather

June continues the excellent weather trend with dry conditions, steady trade winds, and brilliant blue skies. Temperatures are perfectly comfortable, and the low humidity makes even midday heat enjoyable. Rain is rare and usually brief when it does occur.

June Tips

  • Book everything well in advance - this is peak season and popular tours fill up fast
  • Early morning activities are less crowded and offer the best lighting for photos
  • Consider staying in Vaitape town itself for easier access to restaurants and shops

All Months

April through October gives you the best weather, but here's what the brochures won't tell you: even the 'dry' season gets 10 inches of rain monthly. November through March brings cyclone season and humidity that makes you question life choices. But those months also bring 30% lower hotel rates and fewer crowds. The sweet spot? May and September. You get warm lagoon temperatures, minimal rain, and trade winds that keep the bugs away. Avoid July and August unless you enjoy sharing paradise with every honeymooner in the Northern Hemisphere. Water temperature stays around 80°F year-round, so that's never a concern. Just know that 'partly cloudy' in Bora Bora means dramatic cloud formations that actually make the photos better.
