Victoria Falls in February
Not the best time
Cheapest time to visit but there's a reason for that. You'll hear the falls from 10km away but struggle to see much through the massive spray clouds.
Weather
Still deep in rainy season with frequent afternoon thunderstorms. Humidity remains brutal at 75-85% while temperatures stay consistently hot. The Zambezi River runs at peak flow, creating deafening noise levels.

February Tips
- •Bring earplugs for sleeping - the falls are incredibly loud during peak flow
- •Visit Devil's Pool on Zambian side only with experienced guides
- •Skip white water rafting - rapids are too dangerous at this water level
All Months
April through September gives you the sweet spot between water volume and visibility. May and June offer the most dramatic views — the Zambezi is still swollen from rainy season, but the mist doesn't completely obscure the falls yet. You'll get soaked, but you'll see everything.
July through September brings lower water levels and clearer views. This is prime time for photography since the mist doesn't dominate every shot. The famous Devil's Pool on the Zambian side is only accessible during these low-water months — swimming on the edge of the falls isn't possible when the river is raging.
October through March is low water season. The falls split into separate streams, and you can see the rock face behind the water. It's less dramatic but more intimate. The weather is also hottest during these months — temperatures hit 35°C regularly. But this is when you can walk across parts of the riverbed that are underwater the rest of the year.
