Great time to visit
June is Atlantic City's sweet spot. Great weather, full operations, and the summer crowds haven't reached peak insanity yet.
Weather
June brings the first taste of proper summer with warm, pleasant days and that perfect ocean breeze keeping things comfortable. Thunderstorms roll through in the afternoons but clear out quickly. The humidity starts building but stays tolerable.

All Months
Summer is peak season for good reason. June through September brings 70-80°F weather and the Atlantic Ocean warms up enough for actual swimming. But expect crowds and higher prices — hotel rooms double in cost.
September is the sweet spot. The weather stays warm, the ocean temperature peaks, but the summer crowds thin out. Labor Day weekend is busy, but the rest of the month offers the best balance of weather and value.
Winter can be brutal. January averages 40°F with Atlantic winds that cut through everything. But if you're here for the casinos and shows, rooms drop to $50-80 a night. The boardwalk stays open, though many outdoor attractions close.
Spring arrives slowly. April and May see temperatures climb to the 60s, but the ocean stays cold until June. Good time for walking the boards without summer crowds.
