This is when locals emerge after the brutal summer months. Winter (December-February) can surprise you with cold nights and occasional rain. Medina riads often lack central heating, so pack layers. July and August see temperatures soar above 35°C, making medina exploration exhausting. The narrow alleys trap heat, and many locals flee to cooler mountain towns.
