But crowds thin out dramatically, and you'll have major sights almost to yourself. Daytime temperatures reach 15-18°C — chilly but manageable. Skip summer unless you handle heat well. July and August see temperatures soar above 35°C, making medina exploration exhausting. The narrow alleys trap heat, and many locals flee to cooler mountain towns. Restaurants close during daylight hours, and the evening iftar (breaking of the fast) creates a special atmosphere but limits dining options for visitors.
